Lion Electric
« on: July 22, 2023, 06:56:26 PM »
Yesterday I had the pleasure of being present at the grand opening of the new Lion Electric commercial vehicle plant in Joliet. At full production, the plant will produce 20,000 fully-electric trucks and buses per year. It will employee 1,400 workers. The buses, depending on battery options, can have a range of up to 100 miles. See photos attached showing school bus assembly and final product. The future has arrived. Now all we need is to have local schools procuring them.

Very cool Jeffrey Gahris that you were able to be part of history and represent FVEAA.  Thanks for sharing a great turning point in EVs for Illinois.
