i'm normally not into 'revenge is sweet' thinking, but in this case i'll make an exception :-)

I wonder how many people would purchase the "Volt"?

In "Who Killed the Electric Car", at 20:00 minutes into the video on Google, they stated there were only 4,000 (4 thousand) people on the waiting list. I consider that a very low number. I would expect millions if it was such a great car. They then said only 50 (fifty) people committed to the car out of the 4,000. Seems hardly worth producing the EV-1 Impact.
