Through our friends at Chicago Area Green Cties initiative, we are aware that ComEd has partnered with Nissan to offer an additional $10,000 rebate on new Leafs. This is in addition to the potential $7,500 tax credit offered by the IRS. Leafs, which have Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) starting at $30,680, now should start about $13,180 after the consideration of the rebate and tax credit. If you thought you might be in the market for a new EV, and the Leaf fills your needs, it would really be worth your while to investigate this closely. Deal is only available until 6/30/17, or while supplies last. Essentially, that's a new EV with a 50% + discount. What do you need to do? Bring the flyer https://www.comed.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/SmartEnergy/NissanLeafFlyer_June30_2017.pdf (https://www.comed.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/SmartEnergy/NissanLeafFlyer_June30_2017.pdf) and a copy of your ComEd bill to the Nissan Dealer.
Thanks, ComEd!

This is a nice incentive. Also seems like a good way to work on clearing out the old design before announcing the new design.

Wow, now if folks would realize that they can then drive that Leaf for 500 miles for the equivalent of a gallon of gas or 6000 miles on what an average fill up costs, just by charging at night when the com ed real time pricing rates drop to $.02/kwh. They might actually buy one.
Thanks Com Ed. And thanks to Sam Insul. (The man that started com ed). Hope they extend that offer.

Looks like this rebate has been extended to 9/30/17.
