Title: EV's have been around for awhile
Post by: ken.simmermon on November 05, 2009, 05:36:55 AM
I know, it is in German but if you click under the picture on 'Fotostrecke' and then the arrows above each one you can get through it without knowing the language.

This translation will not be perfect, but it is probably readable.

I actually laughed out loud.

That should suddenly change starting from 1911. In this year the American Charles chain ring - the man development boss became later with general of engine - invented the electrical starter. Thus annoying setting of the engines in motion became redundant. The fact that gasoline was at that time very cheap and easily available did a remaining. The remainder of history is well-known.

Ok, ok "annoying setting of the engines in motion" means cranking.  I didn't get that at first.
