American Science and Technology had a 2008 Toyota Matrix converted to full electric propulsion.  When choosing the LiFePO4 batteries, the size was chosen to allow full cabin space to be utilized, and a hydrogen fuel cell incorporated under the hood.  They have completed their work with the car, and it is now for sale.  This is a very sweet running EV with a 5 speed stick transmission and retains the OEM clutch.  The gasoline engine has been replaced with an ImPulse 9 motor.  The car has 45 Thundersky Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, and these batteries have been in the discharged state for several months.  The batteries will need to be replaced for the car to have a useful range.  The range on the 100 AH batteries was 30-40 miles.

The fuel cell is currently inoperative.  Pieces could be obtained to refurbish the fuel cell, or the fuel cell could be removed.  If the fuel cell were removed, additional batteries could be added for more range, or during battery replacement, a larger size could be chosen.   The car was equipped with an expensive eLithion BMS and a Blue Window gauge system.   It is unclear if either of these components are able to function normally, as the charge is very low.

This is certainly an intresting vehicle, and while it needs some refurbishing, it will be an excellent vehicle for someone needing an EV as a commuter.
