Post by: ted.lowe on August 03, 2008, 02:55:33 PM
i moved Larry's post here.  He asks:

Open question.Who do you other ev'ers use as a supplier for the 2/0 terminal lugs and if crimped, what kind of crimper and where do you purchase the tool?Is soldering better than crimping or vice versa?I am getting prepared for battery wiring and need this info.Thanks.Larry Brady

i've gotten 2/0 welding cable (nice flexible insulation) from Battery Service (see Contacts DB).  Also i recommend Magna Lugs (much better than generic lugs).   Battery Service has all the cabling supplies/tools (cable, lugs, boots, heat shrink, crimper, etc.).  i have a crimper you can borrow if you want.  Else, they are about $150.  i can bring it to the next meeting if you want.
