Title: anyone interested in electric lawn tractors?
Post by: terry.kane on December 07, 2007, 07:42:51 PM
A friend of mine has a GE E15(I think) and a New Idea EGT 150 - mower decks are there, also an electric roto tiller and even an inverter and small tiller 120VAC that went with it.  I have pics, if you are interested.  Back in the late '70s/early 80's they used these to cut grass on their farm.  Kept in a barn all this time - in Grundy County.

Contact me if you're interested and I'll let them know these are marketable.

i have an Elec-Trak!  It's an E-20 and i bought it from FVEAAer Ken Simmermon whom bought a number of them from the estate of a past FVEAAer.

i love it!  i use it for plowing my driveway and towing heavy things around the yard.  i have the mower deck too.. but i only have about 8 minutes of grass mowing left (rest is plants, trees, shrubs, gardens, and paths).

Here's a link to my EV album entry for it: http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/771 (http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/771)

There is a very active hobbyist movement here: http://www.elec-trak.org/ (http://www.elec-trak.org/)
