Title: God's Car gently on the road
Post by: tim.moore on April 26, 2010, 01:05:51 PM
Finally, I have God's car back on the road, though I am no going drive it like I use to--no more winter driving.  It still amazes me that a 1994 conversion, drives nicer than a 2008 gas manual.  I hate the clutch work you have to do on a gas car,  and I love the fact that in an EV I can be going 45mph and still be in 2nd, or 3rd if I want to pass. One thing I would change,  we need an idiot light that tells you when a DC motor is starting to fail,  two times it  happened in  the winter.  So it is gas manual in the winter and EV when the commute is right.  Even after 8yrs, I still can have an EV grin when God's Car is back on the road.

Congrats on getting back on the road.

What about winters is eating your motors?  Salt?
