2014 Ford Focus Electric
« on: May 26, 2016, 01:17:42 PM »
There is one more 2014 Ford Focus Electric left.  Our family now has two Ford Focus Electrics 2012 and 2014 and my wife and son could not be happier.  One more 2014 is at Lincoln of Westmont, Mike Iozzo is the best salesman to go to, because he sold me the other two Ford Focus.  Let me know if you are thinking of it, I have some good advice to make it easier and cheaper.
YES  my wife drove through the winter with 75 mile range, now in the summer the range is closer to 100 mile range.

Thanks Tim!  Approximately what kind of price would that be?

Excellent!!! What is the speedo?  I have not bought the 240 volt charger for home as I have not needed it, been using chargepoint location1/2 mile from my house ten times in a year. Now with two Focus Electrics,  I am thinking of getting one.  Does anyone  know where best to buy the 240 volt charger?

I made a deal on a 2012 Nissan LEAF but it fell thru in the last minute-guy selling sold it to his sister for 9K. I had a deal with him for 8K with a Blink 240 charge stand.

Now I went to St Charles Motorcars and they have a couple of 2013 LEAFs and a 2013 Ford Focus electric. The Ford has my interest. It is white and only has 15000 miles on it. Started watching YouTube videos about them.  I like the quirkiness of the LEAF. Unique looking.  The Ford looks just like the ICE model.  Prices are OK.  The Ford doesn't have quite as much range as the LEAF.  Tim, what has your experience with range on the Ford?

Rich the Focus has given us a  winter range of 75 miles and a summer range of 100 miles.   240 volt gives me 1 mile for every two minutes charging.  The deal at Ogden has very little wiggle room for price, but I got a full warranty for $850.   I actually like the fact that it looks like an ICE because I liked to fly under the radar.  My wife works in a poor Chicago neighborhood, where I  would never drive a Leaf or Tesla, everyone knows those ones, Ford Focus electric is rare here.

Well, I did it. Bought the 2013 Ford Focus Electric from St Charles Motorcars. Car only has 15300 miles. Looks like it was a 2 year lease car. Was purchased from a Ford dealer in Roswell NM. Comes with an alien in a box in the trunk. Car is loaded. No sunroof(I glad it doesn't have one). Leather seats, power everything, kitchen sync. Still trying to figure out how to download my phone book from my cell. I have lots of reading to do.  Fully charged it says 89 miles but that drops quickly when using the A/C.  Need to get 2 240 volt charge stations-one for home and one for work. A co-worker wants to get a VW Golf-E. We would share the charge cord. He could use it in the morning and I would use it in the afternoon so I could also pre-cool while plugged in. Now I need to move the Solectria Force along.
