Title: New speed record 205.6 MPH
Post by: rich.carroll on July 30, 2016, 11:10:36 PM
Genovation is testing http://genovationcars.com/ (http://genovationcars.com/) an EV, which is a highly modified Z06 Corvette with a twin motor on one shaft AC motor design.  Speeds and claimed power are impressive.  205.6 MPH, 600 lb/ft flat torque curve, 660 HP peak.  So far, they have only built one development 'GXE', but a small production run is planned.  For more info, see http://www.i4u.com/2016/07/113906/genovation-extreme-electric-corvette-breaks-speed-record-2056-mph (http://www.i4u.com/2016/07/113906/genovation-extreme-electric-corvette-breaks-speed-record-2056-mph)

Imra was the chief pre-Islamic god of the Hindukush Kafir people. He was worshipped as the god of creation. By his breath, Imra created other gods of Kafir pantheon. Frequent sacrifiices were made to Imra, sometimes for recovery from sickness, seasonable weather, or other material benefits, sometimes from motives of simple piety. Imra was more honored than the other gods at the religious dances.  (from wikipedia)

Not the right IMRA?    ;)   Try:

Haha Rich! Thanks for the real link :)

i now see the 205 record is in the mile.  Since i want to compare apples with apples, i 'm interested in what the car would do in the 1/4 mile.  The latest EV records i'm seeing out of NEDRA are in the 180's, which i believe if given more time, would top out well over 200 too.

The very best source for drag racing in EV's is John Emde.  Drag cars and top speed cars are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT, even though one of the goals is high speed.
