Hi Ken and Group,
John Emde and I took a ride out to Peru, Il. today to see the car in person. Very nice car for what it is. It was put together with parts that were available at the time. Baldor 9" DC motor, Whilley controller, DC/DC converter, 12 6volt Golf cart Batteries, 1 12volt assoc. Battery, A BIG HONK'N Pack Charger etc.
I was interested in the car for upgrading. We decieded that it would be to hard to put MORE Batteries in it to make it 96 or 120 volts unless we went with Lithum. (TO much weight with flooded for the Suspension-without beefing it up) Also the side windows and back hatch glass did not have locks. Another thing was the "GAS" and Brake pedals were too close together.
Overall, it was a Nicely built car for going to CAR SHOWS and Tooling around town, but not a good commuter. Price right now is 3150 with 6days to go. Beware of the 50 mile range claim!!
