Hi, I'm currently building an electric motorcycle from the ground up. I'm looking to purchase some lithium ion batteries and a bms for the bike. I've currently got a quote from Thundersky in china for some TS-LFP100AHA cells and a bms. I was just wondering if anyone else has ordered from them before and if there were any problems with the payment process, shipping, or the cells?

Any input would be very appreciated.

Also, if anyone has any information on any better cells or company to deal with that information would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks,
Robert Harris

I almost bought from them for my recent conversion.  I have not used personally used them but I read that TS produced a bad batch of batteries a few years ago and did not warranty them.  I think that they have cleaned up their manufacturing processes, but I am not confident of this, nor if they improved the customer relations/warranty policies.  Check http://www.evdl.org/.  Also there is a yahoo group specifically for thundersky, they should be able to give you better information.  I do not remember the link, but I found it from the evdl.

Good luck.

Nathan.

There is a ThunderSky discussion group.  You might wish to post your question there.

Also check out Ted Sanders' earlier link about doing conversions.  It is call INSTRUCTABLES and the one on the Geo Metro is great, but also it one for a Kawaski Ebike conversion.
