Club Car 2007 Project Underway

porsche-emblem The FVEAA has started our latest "club car" project,  the complete conversion of a Porsche 944 from gasoline power to electric power!

We do such a conversion every few years as a detailed hands-on learning opportunity for our newer members.  Over the years, these conversion projects have been called "club cars" (even though we are an Association vs a club).  Often these completed "club cars" end up being owned by FVEAA members.  For example, member Dave Aarvold has the 1976 Fiat that we converted many moons ago, member George Gladic is merrily driving the 1990 Nissan Sentra the FVEAA converted, and Triton college is driving the "green machine" Ford Ranger we converted during a college course in 2002.  This year's "club car" is a 1985 Porsche 944 owned by member Eric Schoonveld.
